Ongoing PhD research by James Veitch at Massey University (New Zealand) is seeking to assess the tectonic, environmental and anthropogenic controls on sedimentation in the Wairarapa Valley, North Island, New Zealand, over the past c.10 ka through analysis of lacustrine, coastal and fluvial sedimentary archives, together with historical records of river behaviour and coastal changes.
