2025 INTIMATE General Meeting

The next INTIMATE-INQUA General Meeting, which will take place from 9-11 September 2025 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

The next INTIMATE-INQUA General Meeting is scheduled to be held from 9–11 September 2025 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

An in-person meeting is planned with the aim of sharing research findings, strengthening collaborations, and designing new projects within the INTIMATE framework, as well as providing an opportunity for social interaction in a vibrant city.

A two-day workshop will be conducted on 9–10 September 2025, featuring oral presentations, poster sessions, and discussion panels, followed by an extraordinary one-day field trip on 11 September 2025. The field trip will include visits to the rolling hills of Transylvania, where steppe relicts of past glacial times may be observed; the Turda salt mine complex—a remarkable example of Medieval mining in Europe; and the karst geomorphological formations of Turzii Gorges and Piatra Secuiului.

Please note that no registration fees will be charged and lunch is not included. An optional INTIMATE dinner is scheduled for Thursday, 10 September, for which an additional cost will apply (to be confirmed).

Financial support for travel, accommodation, and subsistence is provided for ECRs and DCRs, funded by INQUA. Interested participants are requested to indicate their interest on the registration form below, after which further contact will be established.

Registration is required, and an abstract must be submitted by 30 May 2025.
