2026 PATA Days
PATA Days are the main activity of TERPRO’s project CHAMP. PATA stands for International Workshop on Paleoseismology, Active Tectonics and Archeoseismology.
The 2026 PATA Days will be held in Guatemala from 30 January – 6 February, 2026. We will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the devastating 1976 Guatemala Earthquake (M7.5). Guatemala is situated on the plate boundary between the Caribbean and North American Plates and offers not only exciting paleoseismology and tectonic geomorphology, but also a rich archaeological and archaeoseismological record. Limited INQUA funding is available to support the participation of ECRs and DCRs.
Deadline for travel grant application: 15 September.
Deadline for registration: 31 October.
