INQUA 2025 Sir Nicholas Shackleton Medal

The INQUA 2025 Sir Nicholas Shackleton Medal recipient is Prof. Dr. Nicole Khan from the University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong)

On 21 January 2026, the six shortlisted candidates for the INQUA 2025 Sir Nicholas Shackleton Medal: Jeniffer Bates (Seoul National University, South Korea), Andrea Columbu (Pisa University, Italy), Nicole Khan (University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong  – 2025 medal winner), Michela Mariani (University of Nottingham, UK), Kaustubh Thirumalai (University of Arizona, USA), Xu Zhang (British Antarctic Survey, UK) were invited to present their scientific achievements and to highlight their contributions to Quaternary research and to the activities of INQUA.
