ONSEA Workshop 2026 – Online Event
The ONSEA workshops, originally planned in Morocco, will be switched ONLINE on 3-4 September 2026.
Considering the unstable geopolitical situation and the consequent uncertainties related to the shortage of plane fuel in the coming months and the continuous cancellation of flights, which may further increase, the third edition of the ONSEA workshops, originally planned in Morocco, will be switched ONLINE on 3-4 September 2026.
The sessions timetable will be scheduled according to the participants’ time zone. The workshop is a joint event between ONSEA, the IAG Working Group in Coastal Geoarchaeology and PALSEA next.

We are ALSO pleased to announce that this year’s INQUA funds will be used to fund open-access publication in INQUA journals of the two best presentations, as follows:
GRANT 1 – funding for open-access publication in Quaternary International (Elsevier)
GRANT 2 – funding for open-access publication in Quaternary Environments and Humans (Elsevier).
A committee composed of members of the Scientific Committee will award the grant, taking into account:
– CV of the applicant and academic position (preferably ERC)
– Originality of the presentation
– Scientific impact of the results
The grant will be used to fund open-access publication only if the manuscript is definitively accepted.
