PASES Get-Together meeting

Posted by in ECR News on

The next PASES Get-Together is scheduled for Friday April 22 at 16:00 UTC.

For this occasion, we have invited Darcy Bird, from Washington State University and the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History. Darcy will introduce to us to the basics and benefits of radiocarbon paleodemography, as well as present the p3k14c global radiocarbon database.

This global database -a collaborative effort from the PAGES PEOPLE3000 working group, PalEOclimate and the PeopLing of the Earth- has been recently published in Nature Scientific Data, and represents a powerful tool for comparative research on past socio-environmental systems globally.

In addition to Darcy’s talk, we will share the most recent updates about our in-person PASES2022 workshop.

Hope you can join our next virtual Get-Together!
