EDITH – From Earthquake DeformatIon To SHA
***PROJECT EDITH WAS ACTIVE IN THE 2019-2023 INTERCONGRESS PERIOD.***
EDITH proposes to organize and facilitate annual meetings with a wide range of experts in earthquake geology, seismology, paleoseismology, geodesy and tectonic geomorphology to gain a better understanding of the earthquake cycle with the final aim to provide constraints to future new SHA geologically-based models.
Our initiative aims at gathering scientists together in short meetings where new ideas can be discussed among experts of different fields, on the common ground of earthquakes studies. We encourage engagement from researchers across all career stages and countries.
Our meetings will be informal, introduced by expert talks but mainly structured as open workshops and roundtables for stimulating fruitful discussion.
